Perfectly good steak. Blue cheese, vinegar oil dressing is smooth. Many Veggies. Best in the area.

The Sante Fe is as good as it gets. Fresh chicken, corn, beans, and a nice chipotle dressing.

#3 The Junction 4.8 stars

This strawberries, cranberry, spinach with feta and chicken work very well. I wanted more.

The best steak. The ingredients are standard chef salad. The dressing is good.

Excellent blend of veggies and a good steak. The sauce is ok.

Fresh grilled chicken, Good olive oil and vineger sauce. Cranberries are good.

#8 Portillios Chopped Salad 4.5 stars

Lettuce, great sauce, bacon bits, noodles. The salad is solid and worth getting.

#9 Beas Chicken salad. 4.5 stars.

Excellent blends of veggies. Fresh chicken.

Gryo is good. The cheese is fresh. So much iceberg lettuce

The Forge is located at 1330 E. State St. in Sycamore on rt. 64 at the very East edge of town. Sycamore Park is directly east of The Forge and the western trailhead of the Great Western Trail is across the street. It is the perfect destination after a ball game, a bike ride, run, or a long day.

What A surprise. We tried 8 craft beers and we loved six. The Russian porter is the best that I had tasted. I love the Coal dust IPA and the Middle Coast IPA the best.

I had the Carne Asada. Big portion for$9.99. Usual rice and beans.

The steak was flat and well done. Some places cut it smaller piece. The nice touch was the avocado slices.

Seating is about 8 tables.

I had the pho. Beef broth with meatballs. The broth is excellent. The meatballs seem factory made. It is missing texture that is seen in the DC pho shops. The veggie adds in are fresh. Maybe next time I will get one of the four other Phos.

I had the Chicken Shawarma and it was good. $10.99 for the platter that includes the chicken soup and and side. I had the salad and it was fresh. Definitely much needed in the area.

Jamrah serves beef or chicken shawarma, falafel and kabobs.
